As much as we would all love to live an easy life with endless resources and finances, most people might admit that life would be pretty monotonous if there were no obstacles or failures. Evidence of this might be seen by watching the celebrity gossip television programs, where the rich and famous of Hollywood seem to bounce from one crisis to another, seemingly bored of living the good life. How many times have you watch such stories in the news, and thought what you would do to benefit humanity if you could have their vast resources of wealth, power and influence. How many times have you been puzzled when trying to understand their mindset?

Success begotten without any hard labor or without crossing any insurmountable barrier is hardly remembered even by the most successful people. To compare it with something which we experience every day, we would not value sunlight if it was not snatched by darkness of the night. While no one in this world is spared from ill fortunes and his share of bad luck, disappointments and failures, what separates men from mouse is the individual ability to deal with failures. While some succumb to their past rejections and present failures, some rise above it and strive harder to perfect their processes to achieve success. The second group always visualizes the entire spectrum of life - with its due quota of ups and downs and sees every failure as another opportunity thrown at them which has the potential of future success. This relentless pursuit of happiness and success despite all the hurdles which might come in the way, eventually take these people high on the ladder of accomplishment. The people who are tormented at the sheer thought of failure, past or present, are usually left behind.

What is it that makes successful people look beyond their set backs and re-set their goals with renewed enthusiasm and vigor? Here are some of the ways by which people can achieve this skill:

Treat the past as over and future as illusive. This means that you have to act for the present moment, which is all that you have in front of you. If you let your past failures come in your way of thinking positively for the future, you would be perennially haunted by what obstacles may occur in future. The key is to treat any set-back as an opportunity to improve the way you do things. Once you start believing in what the present is offering you, you tend to be more focused on making the most of your opportunities.

Believe in yourself. We all know about the rejection which Graham Bell faced from the scientific community when he invented a new way in which we could communicate. If Bell had given up on his belief and resigned to his failures, we would have perhaps never reached this far as we have today in the field of communication. Failures, negative criticism, set backs are all intrinsic part of success. If you believe in your ideas and can firmly stand by it, you can look at every failure on its face and see the sun that shines behind the barrier.

The talent or ability to take every failure in the stride is an important asset in any organization. It is really the leader’s responsibility to coach his employees and team members the importance of remaining steadfast in their approach to achieve respective career and personal goals. Set backs would come and go and would continue to do so, so long as you are involved in some kind of activity in life. There is a saying that when it rains, it pours. Nothing can be truer than this saying, when it comes to being flooded with set backs. Where we go wrong is that we fail to notice the silver lining around the cloud.

Motivational Magic is a mindset that gives special attention to building and reinforcing this type of thinking. There are dozens of good ways to send people to your website. These methods come with a wide variety of results and difficulty. Attempting various methods and studying the results has been a focus of mine. I’ll review one of my favorites for you.

Offer something FREE to your visitors.

There is a high perceived value on the part of your visitor if you can provide them with useful information. By capturing and sharing this free information, you can make somebody’s life better and easier in many regards.

It’s simply human-nature that you must constantly work to over-come a basic mis-trust on the part of your visitor. This level of mis-trust MUST be overcome before you can succeed in your efforts.

Your focus should be to find and share valuable information. Finding (and sharing) information on-line is the quickest and most effective. It doesn’t take much search time before you will be discovering subjects and information that folks want to know. This shows you the topics that are being inquired upon and which you will want to include in the information you give away.

One strategy you can employ is to share the information in the form of a multi-day mini-course that people can receive from you. Make the information package you send be of top-quality for maximum results. A little more time and attention at this point will have tremendous benefit in the value of your subscriber list. It costs much less than you might think to do this.

You will be offering to share this information in exchange for your visitor’s name and e-mail address. A ’squeeze page’ is the best tool to use for capturing this information. A squeeze-page is simply a basic website that presents your message offering the information.

The best strategy in any relationship-selling environment is one where you give before ever trying to take. This is simply an area at the end describing who you are and giving your website address where they can visit and benefit by what you offer there.

I’ve seen a tremendous piece of software in action that automates the process of article-writing. This tool merges blocks of words, uses a 30,000 word thesaurus and manges data bases, as well. There is some new software out there (along with people-run businesses) that helps with article production as well as distribution.

If you’re involved in Network Marketing or MLM - same thing, different verbiage - one of the biggest challenges you will have is driving traffic to your web site. Now this could be your product site or you business opportunity site.

In many Network Marketing companies (if not all), you are given replicated web sites to send traffic too. However, there is one basic problem with that, and that is… they are replicated web sites. Your website looks exactly like the website of the other people participating with the same company. Your websites look alike, and its keywords are exactly the same. The only difference between your site and that of your neighbor is that you might get to brand your website with your own name. (What most companies fail to tell you is that the search engines frequently ignore replicated websites.)

The most successful Network Marketers know that a replicated web site is all fine and good, but if you want to have control over the amount of traffic you send to your product or opportunity web site, you need to have a domain of your own.

Why?

The basic cornerstone of any web site is the keywords that the search engines are going to use to index your site. If you are using a replicated web site, the keyword structure is usually very generic and not site specific - that is the reason why search engines ignore replicated websites.

In order to have a successful web site, you need to have control over your site, starting with the keywords of that site and the links that lead to your sales pages. Besides that, you might have more than one network marketing opportunity to promote, and you cannot promote other opportunities from your replicated websites.

But the trick, for the lack of a better word, is NOT to fight to rank in the search engines for the same keywords everyone else is targeting.

This would be \”keyword suicide\”.

Every boy and his dog are probably fighting to rank for the keywords: MLM, Network Marketing, Home based Business, and so on. Great keywords like these are all but impossible to achieve a number one listing through the organic search results (free listings in the regular search results). People who are expending their resources trying to rank for these very competitive keywords will usually go broke, before they achieve their goals or any profits.

You should understand that you don’t need the \”big gun key words\” to drive a huge amount of traffic to your website, and therefore to what you are promoting. Start with what is called \”fringe keywords\”. These are less-searched keywords that are still target-specific keywords for whatever it is that you are trying to promote.

Think about it, you can become a big fish in a little pond, if you target keyword phrases that the others have not thought of or that others did not consider worthwhile. But, if you target 100 to 200 fringe (smaller searched) keywords, which are averaging 1500 queries per day, and you multiply that by the 200 keywords your rank for, then all your targeted keywords are now getting a combined daily query of 300,000 queries a day.

By targeting lesser-searched keywords, your chances of being listed on the first page of the search engines just went up ten-fold, maybe even one-hundred-fold. Just imagine having a first page listing on 100 or 200 search engine results pages for these lesser-searched keywords; how do you think that would affect your website traffic? I will tell you from personal experience - it could be huge!

So where do you start?

Well if you are like most people, you head to http://www.Google.com, http://www.Yahoo.com or even http://www.MSN.com and start researching keywords. You punch in keywords, to see who has the first page listings and then head to those sites, and check out their keywords by viewing their source code.

Let me ask you a very important question: \”Do you want to work hard, or do you want to work smart?\”

Most people will choose the path of least resistance and choose to work smart, unless they simply do not know any better.

Doing keyword research is time consuming and it is hard work, so to make your job faster and more efficient; instead of going to Google, Yahoo and MSN to research keywords, you should be heading to http://www.Widow.com

I know you have probably never heard of Widow Search, but I will tell you now: if you are trying to do keyword research, you should forget about http://www.WordTracker.com and all of those other paid keyword research tools. I have found in my own experience that the keyword research tools are generally flawed and offer me only one piece of information that I cannot get from Widow. The one missing component is the estimated search traffic, but if you are targeting \”fringe keywords\”, then the volume of search is a really small consideration in your strategy.

Widow.com is a Meta search engine. With one click of a button, you can get the listings for your keywords from Google, Yahoo, MSN, http://www.DMOZ.org and http://www.AllTheWeb.com

Here’s how Window.com works: like most Meta search engines, Widow does not own the database; it creates what is known as a virtual database. It takes your request, in this case your keyword research request, to several other search engines and/or databases and aggregates the results into a single list and displays them according to their source.

Not only does Widow provide you information for your query from multiply search engines, it also has a Cluster Search feature. This feature is set as the default search setting; you can turn it off and just have a blended search if you prefer, but once you understand the power of a clustered search, I don’t know why anyone doing keyword research would want it turned off. You can also set the number of result views per page.

Here’s how the clustering feature is a huge time saver and its many advantages. Let’s use the keyword phrase \”Network Marketing\” as the phrase that you wish to do keyword research.

Currently when I type in \”Network Marketing\”, it is showing the top 10 results from the multiple search engines Widow accesses, but on the left hand side of the page is my Cluster Search Results. My cluster search results has provided links for the following:

Resources, Company, Multi Level, Companies and Income; there are more, but these are the top five cluster results. In addition, within each one of these results are even more results. Now many people say that all a cluster is doing is to attempt to display themes within your results. Yes, that is true and that is a good thing. Remember, the strategy I am talking about here is to find the keywords on the \”fringes\” of the primary keyword phrases, so themed results will allow you to uncover those fringe keywords more quickly and efficiently.

The cluster search results allows you to drill down into the set of your results and to do it all from one search engine and one search query.

Here is the other huge advantage of using a Meta search engine like Widow, over let’s say Google (the big boy on the block). Meta search engines like Widow clear away all the clutter and paid listings that are found on search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

When you think about it, all of these search results on the big three search engines are competing for space and the attention from the user, for its paid advertisers. Web crawlers are influenced by cross-linking, Google-bombing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bomb), and the efforts by commercial webmasters to skew the PageRank (link popularity) scores. Therefore, the result given back to you is not a true picture of the available information, because of all the influential factors that are typically associated with search, can be manipulated by commercial enterprises.

However, a Meta engine like Widow must combine the search results and average those results (votes) from the related search engines to reveal more comprehensive and accurate results. Moreover, to keep the search result as unbiased a possible, Widow does include many paid search listings.

This benefits the user by eliminating duplicate hits and grouping the most relevant results at the top of the list. You are now doing a more efficient search of the web, and you’re doing it with one search engine. Given that the Widow Search tool also incorporates Clustered Search Results and Similar Terms in its search results, the network marketer will find the task of keyword research greatly simplified and more comprehensive, than keyword-research gathered from another source. And more beneficially, Widow Search is a free service, available not only to webmasters and network marketers, but also to the general public.

So I ask you again \”Do you want to work hard or work smart?\”

Once you have used Widow Search as often as I have, you will finally understand that the old way is the \”working hard\” way and Widow Search is the \”working smart\” way. Check it out. I am sure that after you have used it a few times, you will agree with me on this one.

When you are thinking about doing something that is as healthy for your body as a body detox program, you’ll find that you will start thinking about whether or not your children can benefit. When you are receiving all of the benefits from your new body detox system, you’ll tart wondering if you can apply the same principles to your children, and the answer to this is that you really can’t. Children are not fully developed when it comes to things like their liver and kidneys, two things that you already know get targeted quite hard in a body detox wrap. Contrary to many of the health magazines we read, carbohydrates are vitally important when it comes to gaining muscle naturally. They are not evil, and they don’t automatically add fat to our bodies. Carbs can be confusing because people say contradicting things about them, even if they don’t mean to. But basically, here’s the deal: Good carbs are good. Bad carbs are bad. And too many good carbs can be bad, too.

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for all body functions, cellular processes, thinking, breathing, and muscular exertion. In fact, the brain is an energy-demanding organ and has an absolute dependence on glucose as a fuel. While the brain makes up only two percent of the body’s weight, it consumes more than 20 percent of the body’s energy.

When you eat too many refined carbs, it causes your blood sugar levels to increase. As a result, your body sends out more insulin, and when there is excess insulin in the blood stream, it causes your body to respond by turning the sugar into fat.

But that doesn’t mean that you should avoid carbohydrates all together. Again, you need them in order in order to gain muscle naturally. You just need to avoid refined carbohydrates….those pastas, breads, chips, and rice that undergo the \”refining\” process, which strips the foods of necessary nutrients and depletes its reserves. Digestion of refined carbohydrates call on the body’s own store of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes for proper metabolization.

So what carbohydrates do you eat? Well, let’s start with the starchy carbs. These are complex carbs that are slow to digest, are high in nutrients, and add glucose stores for your energy-demanding bicep curls. These include oatmeal, sprouted whole-grain breads, pastas, potatoes, yams, brown rice, carrots, corn, beans, peas, and lentils.

Then there are the simple-sugar carbs. These break down easier, and are great for quick bursts of energy or to quickly bring your blood sugar back up after a workout. Fruit, honey, and agave are what I count on in my hemp shakes after a workout.

And finally, there are the high-fiber carbs, which are also complex but higher in fibre than the starchy ones and which provide vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals. These include all kinds of colored vegetables like spinach, broccoli, eggplant, tomatoes, cabbage, spaghetti squash, and many others.

Now, how much of each category do you eat to gain muscle naturally? Well, first of all, many body-building plans tend to neglect the vegetables, but that is a huge mistake. I suggest having at least 3 cups a day of the high-fiber vegetables…and to eat as much as possible after those 3 cups.

As for the starchy carbs, I can’t state a general number for everyone, but if it helps you, I was 170 pounds and eating 6 meals a day. Three of those meals were hemp protein shakes, and 3 were regular-sized meals. I’d have a serving of starchy carbs at those 3 regular-sized meals, and I would put fruit or honey in the hemp shakes. I totaled around 150-200 grams of carbs a day.

Well, that is the scoop on carbohydrates. So think twice before you run off to Burger King and get the lettuce wrapped cheese-burger after a workout. If you want to gain muscle naturally, you need to get some organic beef and stick it on a sprouted-grain bun instead.

Search engine optimized press releases are still relatively new in the field of SEO (during some research I found an article from 2004 claiming they were the new “secret back door to top search engine ranking”), but they are incredibly beneficial to an SEO campaign.

But why?

Some of the most frequently asked questions I get from clients are “Why does my company need to do press releases? How will press releases benefit my SEO campaign?”

Part of the answer is in the anatomy of an optimized press release. A properly optimized press release will include your top keywords as well as links to your website.

Backlinks:

Once the optimized press release is distributed, it gets picked up on various sites and channels including news search engines such as Google news and Yahoo! news. Every time another website picks up the press release, it reproduces the release along with all of your keywords and links. This has the effect of generating widespread backlinks (links back to your site).

These backlinks are one of the factors Google uses for determining a website’s search engine ranking. Google looks at how many backlinks you have, and where they’re coming from, so add in the fact that most of the backlinks are coming from news websites which have very high page ranks, and you have a good amount of quality backlinks that will increase the page rank and link popularity of your website.

Increased Keyword Rankings and Visibility:

News stories on the web are considered more time sensitive than regular web pages, so when your press release is distributed, it will be linked very quickly, giving you early visibility in news sites, news searches and standard search engines. Many news web sites also archive stories which can help to deliver long term link value, rankings and visibility.

In addition, online news search queries are generally much more targeted than standard web searches. In other words, people searching for news related to your industry are more likely to search for the terms that are used in your press release, which gives you a better chance at increasing the ranking of your website for popular and competitive search terms.

Credibility and Increased Traffic:

Last but not least, well written content will always add credibility to your website. The more information you show that you know, the more trustworthy you become. When your press releases start appearing in Google news and Yahoo! news for your keywords, potential customers searching for your product or business will see that you are a credible source of information in your industry and that you can be trusted. Those with Google alerts for your keywords will automatically receive your press release in their inbox, which will generate interest and relevant traffic to your site as well.

Bottom Line:

So bottom line, “Why does my company need to do press releases?” Because search engine optimized press releases are one of the quickest and easiest ways to start generating more backlinks, visibility and traffic for your website, and are a beneficial addition to any SEO campaign, no matter what your industry.

Your marriage falls apart, you or your partner is laid-off, or your spouse gets ill and you lose half your household income.

The financial pressures sweep in like a sudden high tide, and as one of my clients wrote me, \”I feel so pressured to make money I can’t think.\” What do you do in a situation like this? \”Forget about the bladdy-blah-blah of patience and organic growth, man! I need to make the rent like, yesterday!\”

Okay, but first you need to know about the two wings of growth.

The Two Wings of Growth

The Sufis teach that in our growth and development as humans, we fly on two wings: Hope, and Fear.

The Wing of Hope is when our hearts sing. In the ego we know it as joy, in the heart as expansion, and deeper in our soul we know Hope as a state of Beauty.

But, flap too much with one wing, and we fly in circles. Too much with the Wing of Hope can carry us into heedlessness.

Extreme Hope leads to fantasy island, where nothing is real. In business, you can fall off the edge of the mountain because you spent so much time visioning, feeling good, having fun, that you aren’t taking beneficial actions and paying attention to structures.

So you need the Wing of Fear. Fear? Yes, Fear.

In the ego we know it as fear, but in the heart we experience it as a natural state of contraction, and in the soul we know it as Awe and Majesty.

A certain amount of healthy contraction is a great way to grow. How else do you get the toothpaste out of the tube, eh? Urgency about paying the bills has moved more than one amazing heart-centered person out of the shadows into the limelight of successful business.

But, Extreme Fear is not a good thing either. Too much fear and all you do is spin your wheels, working harder and harder trying to make things happen. You forget that there is Hope, and that miracles are ever present.

Hope and Fear- your two wings for forward movement.

I’m still so scared about money I can’t think.

If you’re in the situation above, you have to flap your hope wing. You have to break the cycle of fear. How? Take a break.

Spiritual practice, and fun. Time in prayer, and time at the movies. Time shnuggling your partner, or child, or cat, and time on the meditation pillow resting your heart.

Fun loosens you up, brings you hope. Spiritual connection deepens your ability to contain and experience that hope. Fun distracts you so you can back up from the problem. Spirituality lets you take another look, and see a larger Truth in your situation.

Example: My client was panicked, and reached out for help to me, and to The Business Oasis (our heart-centered online business community). And then she also took time to hang out with her daughter and the dog, watch a movie, laugh, play, forget about her troubles for a little bit.

And she took time in her heart to see a larger Truth about the situation.

She came back refreshed, able to breathe and think, and to take in some of our good advice.

And about our good advice? Well, AFTER she flapped her Hope wing with fun and spirit, then came the action steps.

Keys to Quick Cashola (from the heart)

Assess your true needs.

We have a tendency to think ‘I’m making it.’ or ‘I’m not making it.’ Look more closely. What’s your true squeak-by financial needs? And how much is coming in now? The truth, not your ‘hope-for.’

Example: My client, when she looked at how her new business was performing, and her squeak-by financial needs, she saw she only needed a few hundred dollars a month to bridge the difference. That, she knew, was doable.

Assess your business assets.

The only asset that means anything in this situation, aside from cash in the bank, is a list. A list of people who have already told you they are interested in what you offer.

And, if you don’t have a list like that? Who do you know that has a list? Churches, organizations, fellow business owners who have more developed businesses. People who like and trust you, who might be willing to introduce you to their list.

Example: My client realized that she already had some dozens of people on her email list. She also knew folks who liked her work enough that they might be willing to help promote her.

Make me a personal offer.

The final step is to make an offer. Don’t get fancy about it- don’t come up with some big seminar idea, or a shiny new product that needs to be developed.

Create some kind of one-on-one individual support offer. Price it at a rate that feels comfortable to your heart. Don’t low-ball it, but don’t try to stretch too much, either. Remember, you just got yourself out of the panic zone.

And package it so that it’s not one session at a time. Take some time in your heart to ask what will it really take to get your clients results they want? Four sessions? Twelve?

See if your heart, and perhaps some friends, can help you find a middle ground between the ultimate package that will fix everything, versus something so small that they can barely get started.

Example: Someone in the Moneyflow class was talking about how her friends had signed up with a bodyworker for a five-session package. The results her friends were getting, after receiving a session a week for five weeks straight, really wowed her, and she’s got her eye on signing up for a full five sessions.

A single session wouldn’t have created the same wow factor. It also wouldn’t have done the same thing for this bodyworker’s cash flow, who is getting five times the business from the same customers, merely by having a package.

Remember first: fun and spirit. Then, what do you need to squeak by, what kind of lists of people can you access, and package your individual services. You may just be days away from getting out of the hole.
